The Lodge Singapore 7178
The Lodge Singapore 7178, embarked on a mission of charity that embodied the core tenets of Freemasonry. It began with the earnest wish of Worshipful Master (WM) Paul Rachmadi, who hoped the Lodge could undertake a meaningful charitable project that would truly make a difference in the lives of those in need.
This vision was soon brought to life by Charity Steward Janvic Venturina and few Brethren, who took the lead in planning and executing the entire endeavor.
The planning started months earlier with a dedicated fundraising campaign. A key event in this effort was a special charity drive hosted at Kopi & Spells on 10 April 2025, a unique and vibrant venue in Clarke Quay, Singapore. The event was not just a social night but a concerted effort to raise funds for the children of the Everlasting Hope, a foundation supporting children with cancer. Through the generosity of the brethren, their families, and friends, the Lodge successfully raised a significant amount, transforming a night of fellowship into an act of collective charity.

In a moving testament to our unwavering commitment towards community relief and compassion, brethren of The Lodge Singapore 7178 travelled on a significant effort of compassion to Cebu City, Philippines.
Our journey focused on providing vital support to the Everlasting Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children battling this devastating disease.
Our visit was an expression of the Masonic charitable spirit, which seeks to alleviate suffering and bring hope to those in the most vulnerable situations. The brethren's support is a lifeline to these families, many of whom face immense financial and emotional burdens as they care for their sick children.
During our visit, the brethren from The Lodge Singapore 7178 had the opportunity to witness firsthand the incredible work being done at the Everlasting Hope. What we witnessed during our visit left a deep impression on all of us. We met with young patients and their families, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges they face and the source of hope the foundation has become to them. We observed how the organization offers not only medical support but also a crucial "home away from home" for children undergoing long-term chemotherapy and other treatments.
The Lodge Singapore's act of charity is a shining example of the Masonic principle of "Relief" in action. By extending our help to the foundation, we are not only providing much needed financial assistance but also reinforcing the message that no child should have to face this, let alone any battle, on their own.

The visit has truly forged the start of a long-lasting bond between The Lodge Singapore 7178 and the Everlasting Hope. We hope this visit, and many others alike around the world, will continue to serve as meaningful and powerful reminders on giving beyond ourselves with a heart of compassion to those dearly in need.
Every ounce of support becomes a beacon of strength and hope to those who need it most, where every person may be able to have the opportunity to live their lives to the utmost fullness of joy that they so deserve.
The Lodge Singapore 7178 delegates were given an opportunity to attend the regular stated meeting of Crescent Masonic Lodge No. 419, where we experienced the warmth and gracious hospitality by the Filipino brethren and a reminder that the bonds of Freemasonry transcend geographical boundaries.
So Mote it Be…
