As we continue our battle to fight Covid-19, Lodge Darul Ehsan Back to School Program (“LDE B2S”) together with Joseph William Yee Eu Foundation (“JWYE Foundation”) stepped-up to help some of our communities heal from the aftermath of the pandemic.

In October 2021, the Government announced that schools were allowed to operate at 50% capacity. The students will be attending school in rotation, requiring them to own an electrical device when studying from home.

LDE B2S and JWYE Foundation took this opportunity to assess the plight of some marginalised students who were unable to attend online classes due to the lack of an electrical device at their homes. Together, LDE B2S and JWYE Foundation contributed a total of 37 electronic tablets to students from six different schools.

The schools that were selected for this contribution are as follows:

- SJK (T) Ladang Batu Ampat, Klang (10 tablets)

- SJK (T) Simpang Lima, Klang (10 tablets)

- SJK (C) Thsing Nian, Klang (5 tablets)

- SJK (C) Kong Hoe, Klang (1 tablet)

- SMK Kwang Hwa, Klang (1 tablet)

- SJK (C) Perempuan, Klang (10 tablets)

In such uncertain times, LDE B2S and JWYE Foundation’s actions emphasised the importance of providing the necessary assistance to these students to enhance their educational needs.
