Riding the GOAT

ree

In Freemasonry, there are many myths and misconceptions, but perhaps none as humorous as the fable of "Riding the Goat." This myth, often perpetuated by members to ease the nerves of new initiates, spiraled into a widely believed tall tale, even finding its way into fraternal supply stores in the 1800s, where mechanical goats were sold for fun. But what do you think about this lighthearted side of Freemasonry? Have you encountered any similar myths or jokes in other traditions? Did you hear it before or on your initiation? Should it be banned? Should it be continued?
