I wish there had been more questions about revised emulation. Even after several prompts from Neale, no one asked about its origins. 🙁
Can anyone here shed light on how we got 'revised'?

Coming back to this, I'm re-reading JSM Ward's FC manual and one of the things that struck me was that the things he highlights as important seem to be exactly the things that distinguish revised emulation from emulation, for example the additional questions.
Does anyone know, or care to speculate, on whether Ward influenced revised emulation?
